MAUSOLEUM FACCANONI
Installation of FOLD projectors at the Faccanoni Mausoleum - Sarnico, BS
THE FACCANONI MAUSOLEUM AND ITS HISTORY
It is one of the five Art Nouveau architectural works in the Municipality of Sarnico; a grandiose and monumental tomb created for the Faccanoni family in 1907. The Mausoleum was designed as a scenographic backdrop, thanks to the combination of theatrical effects (stairways and pyramidal structure) and materials with different light output. Built close to the hill, it was built using only locally sourced materials: Sarizzo della Val Seriana for the plinth; Ceppo di Brembate for the body of the work; Sarnico stone for the steps; Wrought iron and bronze for the access gate to the crypt.
THE LIGHTING TECHNOLOGY OF FOLD 24
To "light up" the important Art Nouveau monument, FOLD 24 projectors were chosen, perfect for creating and illuminating the facades without invading or affecting the aesthetics and surface of the building itself.
